Nick Hamilton, Chief Executive, Funds Management
Nick Hamilton is the Chief Executive of Challenger’s Funds Management business which includes Fidante Partners and Challenger Investment Partners. Nick joined Challenger in 2015 and was appointed Chief Executive, Funds Management in September 2019. In this role he has overall responsibility for Challenger’s Funds Management business including Fidante Partners and Challenger Investment Partners. Prior to joining Challenger, Nick held senior leadership roles at Colonial First State and Invesco. Nick has more than 20 years industry experience gained across Australian and international markets and has successfully led top tier global equity and multi-asset businesses both in Australia and the UK.
Victor Rodriguez, Head of Fixed Income
Victor joined Challenger in April 2017 as Head of Fixed Income. Prior to his appointment, he was Head of Asia Pacific Fixed Income at Aberdeen Asset Management based in Singapore from 2014 to 2017. There he led a team of more than 30 investment professionals across the region including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Australia. Before locating to Singapore, Victor led the Aberdeen Fixed Income business in Australia. Prior to this, Victor worked for over 13 years at Credit Suisse Asset Management in Australia, where he was the Deputy Head of Fixed Income for three years up to 2009. Victor holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA.
Chris Forbes, Head of Real Estate
Chris joined Challenger in September 2018 and is Head of Real Estate, responsible for Challenger’s A$10.2 billion* global real estate funds management and investment strategy. Chris brings 25 years of real estate and investment management experience from his prior roles with Dexus, Charter Hall and more recently as Australian Head of Funds Management for LaSalle Investment Management.
Josh Heller, Head of Investment Solutions
Josh Heller joined Challenger in September 2015. Previously he was a Director at Deutsche Bank Australia providing derivative solutions to superannuation and insurance clients. Before moving to Australia Josh ran a cross-asset derivatives trading desk at Morgan Stanley in New York. Josh has 13 years of experience advising some of the largest pension, insurance and corporate clients in the US, Europe and Australia on risk management. Josh holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with specialisation in Derivatives from Queen’s University in Canada.
